Transfer self-destructing 1GB files for FREE

Mozilla, the company behind the famous Firefox browser, has just announced a couple of new tools for netizens as a part of Firefox’s Test Pilot Experiments. One of the notable experiments is the ability to share any file up to 1GB.

Firefox’s new web-based file sharing interface can be accessed from any browser via send.firefox.com. The company is calling the system “Send” and it does exactly what its name says.

The browser-based sharing feature allows users to upload any file up to 1GB size, after which the file will be encrypted over the server, which means whatever users share remains confidential.

The file will be available for download through a link. The link is also set to destruct itself after 24 hours or if the file is downloaded once, whichever happens first. That means once the receiver has finished downloading the file, it will be completely deleted from the server.

Mozilla on a blog post said “Send creates a link to pass along to whoever you want. Each link created by Send will expire after 1 download or 24 hours, and all sent files will be automatically deleted from the Send server.”

Not only this, there are two other useful experiments added by Mozilla under the Test Pilot add-on: Voice Fill and Notes. The Voice Fill feature is used to launch the search using your voice and it works on DuckDuckGo, Google, and Yahoo. The another tool Notes gives you a place to quickly jot down memos without leaving your browser.
